SUBJECT: Fishing The Sea Of Cortez
CHARTER: Loreto Baja Fishing Trip.
Dates: MAY 18-22, 20272
This trip is an “invitation” by Art Hernandez to set up a trip fishing out of Loreto, Baja California next year, May 2027, on the “Baja Star”
The trip dates are:
- Flying to Loreto from LAX on May 18th
- Fishing half a day, May 18th
- Fishing three more days: May 19, 20, 21
- Returning home on Saturday, May 22.
This is a prime time for fishing big yellowtail, cabrilla, amberjack, striped marlin and sailfish. If the water warms up, dorado and wahoo may be in the mix.
Two captains experienced in long range fishing out of San Diego, bought the El Capitan fishing boat and they are retrofitting it to fish out of the Marina in Loreto, starting this October.
They have an industrial vacuum sealing machine and freezer on the boat. The boat has a shower, two heads and saltwater refrigeration. Most of the same amenities of other San Diego boats.
The cost is $2,160 and includes all meals and fish processing for 3 1/2 days.
** Flight not included. Round trip airfare from LAX right now is around $600. That might go up in 2027, hopefully not by much.
