PLEASE READ — LOCATION & POLICY CHANGE:

  • As part of our agreement with Black Bear, all attendees are expected to order at least one food item and one beverage from their reasonably priced menu, so if you’re a pie & decaf person — or love a full-on hearty,  homestyle meal – then come on down, enjoy a nice hot meal and enjoy the November meeting in a nice private room with a BIG SCREEN tv for presentations!

        • Opportunity Drawing
        • Speaker Presentation
        • 2nd Opportunity drawing
  • Wrap-up & Exit around 8:00-8:30pm-ish

My many years running our own business gives me a unique perspective on managing projects and creating effective programs.

Passionate about fishing, I have been a staff writer for Western Outdoor News (WON) for over 20-years. Getting out on numerous WON fishing charters off-shore along the southern California coast, exploring Alaska and Mexico, and finding hidden gems like Bishop and Auburn for wild trout, makes it worth the effort.

Writing about the outdoors led me to a mutually beneficial relationship with the professional members of OWAC as the Executive Director, I work to support the members of the organization and achieve their mission to tell stories of the great outdoors, which has been truly rewarding for me both personally and professionally.

Whether you’re new to sportfishing – or surf fishing, this is a great spot to swap tips, meet friendly faces, and enjoy the community. It’s casual, it’s free, and everyone’s welcome.
Come early and join us for dinner and drinks (5:30pm). We’ll be having opportunity drawings. A raffle to raise funds for a kid’s charter.  Announce what charters still have openings and more!
