ABOUT AVET REEL COMPANY:
Avet Reels is a Southern California-based company known for its high-performance, American-made saltwater fishing reels. Founded in 2002, it has earned a reputation for innovation, durability, and precision engineering.
Founded by brothers Harry and Sarkis Alajajyan, Avet Reels began as a machine shop producing aerospace parts before pivoting to fishing gear. Their passion for offshore fishing inspired them to design reels that could withstand the rigors of saltwater sportfishing.
Location: All reels are designed, machined, and assembled in Chatsworth, California. Except for a few small bearings, every component is made in the U.S..
Materials: Avet uses aerospace-grade 6061 aluminum sourced from Alcoa and Bralco Metals in Los Angeles. Their reels are CNC-machined for precision and corrosion resistance.

After that, enjoy expert tips on selecting the right reel for your target species, whether you’re chasing tuna, halibut, or white seabass. Then, settle in for a hearty meal and great conversation at Black Bear Diner in Ventura, California. Throughout the evening, you’ll connect with fellow anglers, learn from the pros, and kick off the season with fresh inspiration
