Come hang out at Flat Fish Brewery\, where conversation flows as easily as the beer. Whether you’re new to sportfishing – or surf fishing\, this is a great spot to swap tips\, meet friendly faces\, and enjoy the community. It’s casual\, it’s free\, and everyone’s welcome.\n\n\nCome early and join us for dinner and drinks. Around 6:00/6:15pm. We’ll be having opportunity drawings. A raffle to raise funds for a kid’s charter.  Announce what charters still have openings and more!\n\n\n\n\n6:00 – Social time (food & drink)\n6:30 – Meeting Starts / Club Business / Drawings\n7:00 – Speaker(s) presentation\n8:00/8:30 – Wrap up\n\n————————-\n \nFEATURED SPEAKER:  FRANK SULLIVAN\nThe topic will be a short history of the White Seabass Growout program at Channel Island Harbor – and an update about this year’s growout.\n\nFrank’s Bio:  Frank Sullivan retired from Colton Police department as a Detective Lieutenant after 29 years in law enforcement in 2000. He then moved to Channel Islands Harbor to pursue his dream retirement\, fishing for Billfish and other species out of the Channel Islands Harbor. \nHe purchased a 1979 Viking 35 Convertible Sportfisher and began his journey. Fished the Channel Islands Billfish Tournament every year from 2004 to 2019 when sold Valkyrie because of medical reasons. \nHe joined the Channel Islands Yacht Club in 2003 and found that they had built and staffed the White Seabass Grow out Facility in the Channel Islands Harbor. He began as one of the volunteers and in about 2010 became the Growout pen Coordinator and continues today. \n \n
